With an ongoing pandemic, many jewelry events have been cancelled or have not yet posted dates for 2021. Some have moved online. A few are holding live events later in the year, hoping for a reprieve. Others are doing some combination of the above.
Of the scheduled events, here are The Jewelry Loupe picks for most important, whether you’re looking for contemporary fine jewelry, high-end studio or antique jewelry. Many are aimed at the trade and require you to register with business credentials.
But some are open to jewelry collectors of all stripes and many virtual events are offering access to talks and and workshops once available only to card-carrying buyers (and jewelry media like me). Events open to the public are indicated in red.
I will update this calendar as details become available. Meanwhile, my advice: Experiment with virtual events. Amazing deals are being offered. Virtual networking is better than nothing and a skill we all need to learn. Get on the email lists of events you’re interested in. Check their websites for updates. And make sure all your travel bookings have clear cancellation policies with guaranteed refunds.
